How to: Create a unique header or footer on the first page.
Solution:
Select the 'Different first page' option on the 'Layout' tab page and create a header.
1) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Page Setup...'.
2) Click the 'Layout' tab.
3) Select the 'Different First Page' check box in the 'Headers and Footers' section.
4) Click 'OK'.
5) Create the header on the first page.
a) Select the 'View' menu and select 'Header and Footer'. (Word will automatically place the document in Page Layout view and position the insertion point inside the first header. The document text will be dimmed and the header/footer will be represented by a dotted box.)
b) Type the desired text in the header section.
6) Click 'Close' from the Header/Footer toolbar to return to Normal view.
